ho ho ho time to get festive!

Hello people!:)
Well today i put the christmas decs up with my family and i am now feeling very festive indeed! It's slightly earlier than we would normally put them up, but the next couple of weeks are going to be mental so we thought why not do it today? Christmas is one of my favourite times of year, i love everything from the decorations, to the tree, to the food, christmas shopping and just spending time with my family. This year we decided to change out decorations slightly, and tried to go with a more old school feel, with vintage decorations like nutcrakers, candy canes and little wooden peices to hang on the tree, and i've gotta say i think it looks lovely. We've even brought paperchain, which i totally love! They remind me so much of my childhood, but sadley we haven't had any for years, so i am super excited to sit down one evening with the christmas album playing and start making them:D with only 24 days left till christmas i am getting more and more excited by the day, is anyone else this excited? or is it just me! haha, i swear i seem more excited than a child but hey ho, what can i say, i just love love love christmas!

put your hand in your pocket for Children In Need

Now i know this isn't the type of post i normally write, but i thought as it is indeed Children In Need tonight and it's a matter so close to my heart i thought i'd just share with you some of the things i've done to raise money and some of my views of it. Every year i watch CIN without fail and it's heartbreaking to watch people live in such bad conditions and such a wake up call to not just me, but alot of other people. You forget how much we take for granted, like food, clean clothes and even a safe warm house to live in, which is more than some children and families can say in the UK. I think it's disgusting how footballers and 'celebrities' can get pain hundreds of thousands of pounds when so much is needed to be paid for within our country to help people less fortuante than us. It's such a good thing to see that total on the giant screen say that as a country we have raised millions of pounds, and you've got to think it's worth it to see so many smiling faces of those dissadvantaged children? All week at my college has been charity week, with us doing various things like quiz night, dress up days and giant jenga, and all the money goes to a charity that we picke which is such a good cause. Did anyone else do anything for charity this week? So c'mon guys keep donating to help the poverty stricken parts of our country:)  Well i hope you guys have had a good day and have a great weekend!

Talk to you later m'lovelys!

cause every girl needs a pair of black pumps...

Eeeeekkkkkk! My new shoes arrived today after what seemed like an eternity of waiting (when in fact it was 3 days) and i could not wait to show them to you guys! I am so in love with them, and they fit perfectly which is a massive bonus:D Their from Urban Outfitters, and are black suede with a cute stiching round the side of the shoe, and you can lace them up a front which i really like, plus they are beyond comfortable!:) Now nomally i don't really shop in Urban Outfitters because it's kinda out of my price range, being a student and all, but every now and then i go on their website to check out the SALE section and that's where i came across these little beauties. Reduced from £32 these were a snatch at only £15! I was so happy, and have actually been on the lookout for a pair of black pumps for ages, since my old ones were worn to the point where i could see the bottom of my foot through the sole of the shoe! Not a good look..I love the fact these can be worn with absoloutly anything, and i will definatly get alot of wear out of them! Although i think i may have to keep them out of the way of rain because suede and water don't really mix!

Here's the link m'lovely's if any of you want to check them out on the website, i promise you won't be dissapointed!  xoxo

bring on the fancy dress

Oh I love fancy dress, it is bascially the best excuse to dress up in either a costume that makes you look like a complete fool, or wear something that you would never wear normally in a million years. So when my friend told me she was having a party and it was fancy dress I thought i'd go for option 2. Something I would never usually wear. So thinking long and hard about my options I decided to take a little trip down the fancy dress shop, something which I always find loads of fun!:D and I came across this cute little dress. Kinda 20's, and so when the kind lady in the shop told me it was the costume of a flapper, I was all over it like a rash! I love love love the old fashion type clothes, and a massive love for the 20's in particular. So paired with a load of beaded necklaces, black t-bar heels and a flower in my hair, I was totally ready to go and (however weird this sounds) I was feeling very old fashioned, and cool I must admitt! haha, even if i looked like a slight fool walking down the street; I got some VERY strange looks indeed:L I have to say this is right up there with my favourite fancy dress costumes of all time. Although nothing beats the Princess Jasmine costume in year 3 for Disney Character Day, that is and will always be my ultimate fave! So what about you guys? What's your favourite ever fancy dress costumes?
